MMM update

Day 10
I have been so busy with other projects this past week that I haven't posted anything about how I am doing with MMM.  In fact, I have been so busy I haven't even remembered to take pictures.  I am still making sure to wear at least one different item a day though!  Unfortunately,  I probably won't post any more about it unless I make myself something new.  But with the way this past week has gone I doubt that will happen.  :(

What have I been so busy with you ask.

Day 12
Why, sure I have some time to tell you really quick.  My town has an annual fireworks display the weekend before the 4th of July.

Umm...Sarah, it is only mid May.  What does 4th of July have to do with being busy now?

Yes, I know it is only May, but I promise I am getting to the point. Anyways,  said Fireworks Festival will be held on June 25th this year and there will be craft booths there.  I signed up to be one of those vendors!  This will be my very first show and I could not be more excited!  That being said there is a lot of work I need to get done before I am ready.

First task was to finally jump into the new age and get a freaking smartphone.  I ordered the Square, so I can accept debt/credit card payments directly through my new phone.  The phone arrived yesterday and I could not put it down.  I am kinda a serious internet junkie.  It's a problem that I am working on sorta.

Second task is to create a lot more product!  Currently I have 32 items in my Etsy shop but I will need a lot more.  I am working on a line of Patriotic bows just for this show.  Some of them will be listed in my Etsy shop as well.  Right now I have about 30 more cut out and ready to be sewn.

Shouldn't you have done that yesterday instead of playing with your new phone?

Shhhh...Zip it inner monologue! But yes, yes, I should have done that yesterday.  Other than that, my next tasks include finding a good white 10x10 canopy tent, making some sort of shop banner I can hang up to announce myself and figuring out how I am going to display everything.  I am open to suggestions on all 3 of those things, but mostly the canopy tent.  If you have ever done a show before please let me know the good and the bad of tents!

  1. My husband is a graphic designer so if you want a professionally designed and printed banner you can check out his website: http://willthorpe.com/ I've seen some of the finished banners he's done in person and the print quality comes out really nice!
