Fall Sewing Mojo

I am getting my sewing mojo back and I am super stoked!!! I finally finally got my beloved September issue of Vogue. I have to say, I am not that impressed with it this year. Don't get me wrong, it is still the September issue, making it the best issue of the year, but I wasn't drooling like I have in the past. That being said Grace Coddington is a super fashion genius! There has also been a rumor going around my office that the awful light blue men's cut button up and khakis uniform that our management staff is required to wear during the fall season are going to be no more!!! We are officially going to a business casual dress code as of Monday. You have no idea how freaking thrilled I am about this. I am a bit peeved that I only have a weekend's notice, but not enough that it ruins how freaking excited I am!!! Now put that with the September issue and the fact that I have lost 25lbs and you end up with all sorts of fantastic motivation to sew. I cannot wait to wear clothes that fit and look great on me at work. I have come up with a must have list for the fall as a result. I made a bunch of awesome sets on Polyvore.

1. Bold Color Draped Pieces: like the wrap tops or draped necklines in berries and blues and greens.

2. Houndstooth & Bright Red: I am always a fan of houndstooth and bright red accessories but I want more.

3. Black Lucite Jewelry: I want a few pieces like a big chunky necklace.

4. Tailored Tweed & Plaid Dresses: I don't know what else to say other than classy and chic.
5. Edgy Rock 'n' Roll Pieces: I am talking about black leather with studs. I want to pair this with the tailored dresses. I think it will be a fantastic contrast.

6. Chocolate Brown & Creamy Off -White w/ Gold Jewelry: Decadent is the only thing that comes to mind.

I have made myself quite the sewing list for this weekend. I plan on locking myself in my new sewing room all weekend. I may come out for food. We'll see.

PR2 Episode 4

Poor Valerie! She is quickly becoming my favorite. As she put it she is always a bridesmaid and never a bride! I want her to win so badly. I am pulling for her to go far in this season.

On a side note, why in the heck is Casanova still on this show?!?! He has been in the bottom 3 more than once so early on in the season. He is awful and doesn't listen to the critiques well. Please please make him go away!
